Dancehall act, Jupitar is casting a damning verdict on the entertainment industry in Ghana.

Sharing his view on the topic ‘Talent versus hype, how to succeed in the arts’, on Simply Showbiz on TV3 hosted by MzGee, the singer stated that:

“…our industry is beginning to look not serious because at the end of the day, an artist with the talent will be pushing with force, with everything that he or she has to be able to come to the top but something that maybe an artist B will do and will just get people’s attention will actually be fed on and waste a lot of time that will affect a lot of talent”.

The ‘enemies’ hit maker passionately believes an artiste of his stature does not need to diss colleagues in the industry to promote his brand.

“Taking me for instance, I don’t need to come out to diss somebody for bloggers to be blogging about me but funny enough, this is what is happening now”.

He however admitted entertainers in Ghana need the hype to thrive in their line of work but insisted such hype must come positive acts.

He then urged the media not to promote negative form of hype which wouldn’t bring productivity to the entertainment industry but rather help lift the flag of Ghana high since we have a common agenda of making the nation rise.
