Actress, Beverly Afaglo Baah has said ace Ghanaian movie produce, Abdul Salam Mumuni is responsible for turning most Ghanaian actors into stars.
The wife of Choirmaster of Praye fame told MzGee in a conversation on JoyNews’ ‘The Gist’ that between 80-90% of Ghanaian actors owe their rise to the CEO of Venus Movies.
The 36 year old indicated that she would not have been known if not for Abdul Salam.
The actress made the comment while commending organizers of the annual Golden Movie Awards for honouring the filmmaker.
” Abdul Salam, I’m so happy for him because he’s brought 80 or 90% of the stars we have in Ghana. I mean, who am I without Abdul Salam and Roger Quartey,” she said
“I’m very happy they are being honored. That should motivate them to do more because they are still here and they still love the arts and they are still putting money into it.” she added
Abdul Salam has been credited for being behind the rise of top Ghanaian movie stars including Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Majid Michel, Van Vicker, among others.
