Abena Moet and Kwame Bee on removal of road tolls and taxing sports betting in the 2022 budget


Media personality lordina Obeng popularly known as Abena Moet has pooh poohed the 2022 budget insisting it will not make any improvements in the quality of life of Ghanaians.

The “Agyenkwa” budget read on Wednesday by the finance Minister removed road tolls and planned to spend some one billion cedis to create a million jobs.

But many are unhappy with the introduction of the e-levy which will affect electronic transactions including mobile money transactions above ¢100 a day.

But reacting to the budget on MzGee’s “Just Being Us” Abena Moet said she “didnt pay attention”.

When asked why she further explained that it “doesnt change our lives in anyway and that furl prices are still on the rise”

When asked about what she made of the removal of the road tolls she maintained government was going to take the money through the back door.

On his part, Onua and Kasapa Fm’s Programme’s Manager Kwame Bee said he has been informed government planned to tax sports betting transactions to pay for the road tolls.
