Oscar Provencal widely known as Inspector Bediako has advised African movie producers and directors to change the narrative of the continent through movies.
The veteran Ghanaian actor stressed that the best way for Africans to tell their stories is through movies.
The deep voiced ace actor who spoke to MzGee at the just ended Golden Movies Awards said Africans must take charge in redirecting the negative narrative of Africa.
” We need to change the narrative that is currently hanging around Africa’s neck. And the best tool and format is film. We need to prepare Africa for Africa’s rising” he said
Mr Provencal who returned to the screens after a 10 year hiatus picked the award for his role in the movie ‘Big Man Wahala’.
