Social Media Sensation, Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo will on Monday July 6, 2020 be dragged to the Ministry Responsible for Gender, Children and Social Protection over the recent nude photo posted on social media.
The meeting which was disclosed by Gender Minister Cynthia Morrison was initially scheduled for Friday, July 3 but has been moved to Monday July, 6, 2020 after the actress indicated her unavailability on Friday.
Earlier this week, Akuapem Poloo found herself at the wrong side of the law after she posted a nude photo of herself featuring her son who was turning seven. This was condemned by the sector minister promising action as the Police launched an investigation into the matter.
In an interview with MzGee on ShowBiz 927, Cynthia Morrison said they were particularly concerned about the well-being of the son whom they believe has been traumatized by the matter and may face stigmatization from society.
Madam Morrison says that although the Ministry has taken notice of Akuapem Poloo’s apology, they are interested in ensuring that such an incident does not recur in the future.
“We’ve invited Rosemond. She was supposed to have been there yesterday [Friday] but she called to say that she couldn’t and that she would make it on Monday. Monday, we will have a discussion with her. We have our plans already but we want to talk to her first before we make it public. Since she is willing to come on Monday, on Monday, we will do the talking. We don’t want a situation where it will be like she has been arrested. We want her to come voluntarily…the child is of utmost importance to us. Psychologically, the child has been traumatized. The stigmatization in school and in society. We want to know the state of the woman herself.”
