Entertainment critic, Ola Michael sees no wrong in the debt allegedly incurred by former Arts minister, Catherine Afeku before her exit from the sector.
This, according to him shouldn’t be an obstacle to her re-appointed into the same office since she performed better than her successor, Barbara Oteng Gyasi.
Speaking in an interview on Tv3’s “Simply Showbiz” hosted by MzGee, the vociferous OAP said other ministries have incurred bigger debts than what Madam Afeku left.
“I know she left a one million debt at Kempinski but is it new?” he questioned.
“Check all the ministries. People are leaving debts more than she left”. He explained.
Madam Afeku was alleged to have left a huge amount of debt during the 2018 AFRIMMA event which took place in Ghana. An event her outfit helped to organise.
With her name standing tall among the list of potential ministers for the Culture, Arts and Tourism ministry, others think the financial loss incurred under her watch weighs down her chances but Ola Michael sees no problem with that.
He has instituted a hashtag #bringbackcatherineafeku to mount pressure on the President to re-appoint her back to lead the ministry.
