
Veteran Ghanaian Highlife musician, Gyedu Blay Ambolley has said no right thinking celebrity will endorse an alcoholic beverage.
Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, who was speaking in an interview on Showbiz 927 on 3FM with MzGee noted that the ban by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) is in the right direction.
The ‘Simi Rapp’ crooner said celebrities shouldn’t be allowed to endorse alcoholic beverages.
” All those celebrities who have proper sense will not endorse alcohol because alcohol is not good.” He noted
” Celebrities endorsing alcoholic beverages shouldn’t be allowed at all. Music and alcohol shouldn’t be allowed because of it’ll be enticing the youth. If you look at music videos, it all features young boys and girls. Alcohol mustn’t be in the system for the young boys and girls.” The veteran music star added
The ban on celebrities endorsement has been described as harsh and a poor economic decision demanding its reversal.
