Charter House criticism against ‘legendary’ Praye unnecessary – Selly

Actress, Selly Ghalley has described comments by organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) against music Group, Praye as out of place.

The wife of Praye Tia Tia, a member of the group said the organizers were unfair to the trio.

The Hiplife trio who reunited last year after splitting in 2013, released three singles and had hoped to secure nominations at VGMA 2019 but unfortunately they were shut out.

They took to social media to express their disappointment over the snub while calling the award scheme fake.

The rant got a reaction by the Communications Director of Charterhouse, George Quaye saw a back and forth altercation between the group and George Quaye.

But speaking to MzGee, Selly who backed the group described them as legendary and deserved nominations.

“It’s out of place for you to say they are seeking attention with anything that they do. Come on, these are legends. We breathe, we eat, we sleep Praye. Whether you like it or not so I think it was below the belt,” she said
