American Singer, Ciara has disclosed it wasn’t easy abstaining from sex prior to her marriage to NFL star, Russel Wilson.
The mother of two revealed that it took a lot of prayers to avoid the temptations of premarital sex with Russell Wilson until their July 2016 wedding.
During her cover interview for April’s issue of InStyle, she opened up on how she and her Super Bowl-winning husband abstained from having sex until their vows were said.
“That took a lot of prayer,” Ciara joked.
“It was hard. I can’t lie.”
In 2017, Ciara also spoke about their strong values which helped them kept through their “No-Sex” policy.
“I really believe that when you focus on a friendship, you have the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a relationship,” the “Level Up” singer told Cosmo South Africa in Jan. 2017.
“Once you know you’re really great friends and you’re what we call ‘equally yoked,’ where you share the same values or the same outlook on life, it kind of sets the tone… You shouldn’t feel like you have to give your body away to get someone to like you.”
