
Actor Adjetey Anang has said players in the creative arts industry must put pressure on the Akufo-Addo led government to fulfill promises made to them.
According to the ‘Things we do for love’ star, although the promises made them gives hope to the industry, creative arts players must give government a push as a reminder to fulfill them.
Speaking to MzGee on his visit to the Jubilee house where he interacted with President Akufo-Addo, Adjetey Anang stated that they deliberated on the way forward for the industry.
“It was in line with what we can do together as an industry and because there’s a new govet we went to share ideas. He actually gave us an assignment we are working on. In was just in line with that and not just some personal issue. We gave him an up to date on what we we suffering from,” he stated
Asked whether he believes the meetings will yield any results, Adjetey said: “ There’s been a starting point so all we have to do is keep pushing them and reminding them of the promises and what they have on paper and to push this further” he added
He concluded that he is hopeful there will be some sort of change pertaining to the industry.
“We are hopeful and I believe this is the beginning”
