Ghanaian rapper, D Black has thrown his weight behind media personality, Kofi Okyere Darko widely known as KOD to be elected as President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

The CEO of Black Avenue Musik is of the candid view that KOD is the best person to lead the organized musician group.

Speaking in an interview on ClassFM, D-Black described KOD as a person who understands the business of music hence can run the affairs of MUSIGA if given the chance.

“There are some names in my head but if they are ready to dedicate their time and their energy towards MUSIGA and music, I think someone like KOD, he has been the artiste manager, he has worked with producers, he understands music, he is a TV personality and radio host and he understands the entertainment industry,” he stressed.

“He [KOD] has been on the various fields, he has been the manager for Wutah, he has been the event coordinator for Nescafe African Revelation, he understands business, so, if he is going to stand or run for MUSIGA [President], I will be solidly behind him,” the CEO of Onyx night club added.

Incumbent President of MUSIGA, Bice Osei Kuffour is set to see out his second term in office and as a result, June 26 has been set aside to elect a new head.
