Ace filmmaker, Shirley Frimpong Manso has said emerging actors in the country are not serious.
The CEO of Sparrow Film Productions lamented that upcoming actors do not show seriousness with regards to their attitude towards work.
Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Shirley said although it is her desire to help a lot of up and coming actors become professionals, her expectations are not always met whenever she holds auditions.
According to her, a lot of up and coming actors are not hungry enough to succeed in the industry.
“I have held several auditions and it’s either they don’t get there on time or read the scripts anyhow. They don’t just get it and I sometimes wonder if they are really serious about the work.
“Any serious person who has the passion for a movie is always on time when he or she is given a time to come for an audition. You cannot just show up anytime you feel like it,” she said.
