Renowned highlife musician, George Jahraa has said late Former UN Secretary championed the course of legalization of marijuana in Ghana.

The ‘Driver Banza’ hitmaker explained that he supports Mr Annan’s stance on decriminalizing marijuana because the late diplomat is more knowledgeable.

Speaking in an interview on Joy News, George Jahraa stressed that government should emulate other countries in legalizing marijuana.

“I think government should legalize it because it is legalized in many countries. In fact no mean a person than the late Kofi Annan who has been a Secretary General of the United Nations said it should be decriminalized,” The ‘Ashikele’ hitmaker stated

He continued: “The man is more matured and educated than me and has more exposure so we must probe further on why he said that. So I think it should be decriminalized

He however noted that he does not use marijuana because is a legend and a role model.
