Hiplife artiste Tic, has said event organizers in Ghana are in the habit of booking same artistes for shows.
The ‘Philomena’ hitmaker suggested that if event organizers widen their scope when booking.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Tic indicated that the act does not help other artistes in the industry who are fighting to be noticed.
“If you check the last quarter of 2018, it was the same artistes that were being booked for almost every show,” he said.
“Once you create the environment where everybody has a gig then we’ll have a variety of acts at the shows. If organisers want to book ‘Artiste A’ for a show, they should also consider presenting the same opportunity to ‘Artiste B,’ he said.
“We have different talents to take the music forward, not just the older generation but new artistes who can establish themselves at the shows,” Tic added.
He therefore urged event organizers to create opportunities for lesser known artistes to have the chance to grow.
“Give opportunity to everybody. You’ll be amazed to see the kind of talents that crop up,” he stated.
