As the world mourns Ghana’s longest serving head of state, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings(RTD) whose sad demise occurred at 10:10am on thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital after a short illness, we have compiled Ten tributes from revered music and movie stars.

3. Kuami Eugene: the reigning artiste of the year put up a picture of Rawlings sandwiched by himself and label mate Kidi on instagram with the caption “Rest Well Sir”
4. Kwaw Kese posted a picture of the ex-President with the inscription “SAD DAY”
5. Obrafour posted Rest in power Ex- President Rawlings …Fare thee well!!! My thoughts and prayers are with the Rawlings’ family… on facebook with a picture of the former Ghanaian leader smiling.
6. King Promise also tweeted “RIP The Great J.J Rawlings!!!
7. For actor cum politician it was a family affair as he tweeted “Rest in Peace Founder”.
8. Songstress Efya also took to twitter to say “Rest in Peace PAPA”
9. On her part, Nadia Buari put up a touching post on instagram
10. On the international front, besides the likes of Davido, Celebrated Reggae-Dancehall artiste Gramps Morgan tweeted that he was in pain because of the news.
