Nigerian Hip-Hop star, Ice Prince Zamani is in awe of the number of talented rappers Ghana has. He asserts Ghana has got some amazing rappers.
Ice Prince who is currently in Ghana for collaborations and video shoots shared his thought on the viral debate of who has the best set of rappers between Ghana and Nigeria in a conversation with MzGee on TV3.
“I don’t like to go too deep into this rap or hip-hop conversation because I feel like the sky is big enough….In Ghana, there are some crazy amazing rappers. Yesterday, my mind was blown. I was chilling with Chief Tulenkey and Kofi Jamar and they were off the top and I was blown away but I mean there are a lot of amazing rappers in my country as well”.
Ice Prince added that the Ghanaian accent was a contributing factor to the ingenuity of rap in Ghana. He made a list of rapper who according him can never sound boring on a track.
“What works for Ghanaian hip-hop or Ghanaian rap as well is that the accent is too sweet to miss a rap with. If I could do the Ghanaian accent, oh my god! if I could the Ghanaian accent and rap to it, that is why I feel like Sarkodie, Paedae can never sound boring on any beat. EL, those are rappers I really listen to out here and I respect their craft and talent”.
“Joey B as well, I like the way he does his thing, Kwesi Arthur is another ‘sick’ rapper and I have got something coming up with him, Kuami Eugene and D.J Mensah”. He added.
