Filmmaker Shirley Frimpong Manso has said Ghanaians are hungry for more local movie contents.
Speaking at the premiere of her latest movie, The Perfect Picture: 10 Years Later, The CEO of Sparrow Film Production said the turn out at the turn out proved that Ghanaians have been yearning for more local productions.
The mother of one told TV3’s Owusu Worae that: “The numbers that showed up tells you that Ghanaians are hungry for more of Ghanaian content and we’re very encouraged.”
“I’m completely overwhelmed by the numbers, people turned up. The numbers are very encouraging, it tells us that Ghanaians want to watch Ghanaian movies and if we make it well and we’re able to get our structures well, we’ll be able to develop this industry.” She added
Shirley Frimpong-Manso said she was excited about the positive reviews she received after the premiere.
“With such encouraging comments from industry players, I know we are good to go. The Perfect Picture, 10 Years Later will go places and win awards. I want to say a big thank you to the cast and crew who made this movie a good one,” she said.
