Executive Producer of Afro Nation Ghana, Ruddy Kwakye has said that Ghanaians didn’t show up at the just ended Afro Nation festival.
According to the ace broadcaster, the crowd that showed up at the event was mostly foreigners and blacks living in the diaspora.
Speaking to MzGee on 3FM’s ‘Showbiz927’ show hit a snag due to the legal tussle between organizers of the show and property owners of Laboma Beach.
“The numbers you saw were our international customers. Ghana technically didn’t show up and that’s the reality. Because obviously, nobody wants to be caught up in issues like that. And you know how we Ghanaians are if we know there’s a 20% chance that something will happen somewhere, we won’t even go close to the place.” Ruddy stated
He admitted that the people were skeptical on attending the show due to the purported lawsuits filed to stop the show from happening.
” The legal issues affected the numbers. It affected the psyche of the people because if there was a lawyer in a studio who is certain the show won’t happen, then the last minute guy won’t come.” He indicated.
