Acclaimed Ghanaian Evangelist, Dr Lawrence Tetteh has revealed that the gospel music ministry is under attack.
This comes on the heels of Gospel musician Patience Nyarko’s remark that colleague Joe Mettle will be in hot waters should the Church of Pentecost and the Methodist Church issue a directive that no musician should perform their songs again, Stoking some controversy in the gospel music space.
Speaking to Mz Gee on Showbiz 927 on 3fm, on the recent cases of bad blood brewing in the gospel music industry, Dr Tetteh disclosed that “there no need for competition between one musician and another musician.”
“we have to understand why we do what we do. ministers, musicians and minstrels have to understand why they minister the gospel. If we understand what we do and why we do what we do, our approach will be very decent”. He Stressed.
Dr Lawrence Tetteh added that many Gospel musicians come under attack by the devil and as such, prayerfulness is needed in the ministry.
“The ministry is under attack, the fight is something that we have to stop and look to God for direction because it is only through Godliness that we can do the right thing.” He said.
