Former Ghanaian R & B singer turned pastor, has said becoming a gospel musician is not a guarantee to making heaven.
According to him, heaven wasn’t his target when he switched from secular music to gospel.
In a conversation with Graphic Showbiz, Chemphe explained that his switch wasn’t much of a transformation as his secular music contained messages that promoted God’s brand.
“Nothing changed or has changed about my music. I’ve always been a Christian artiste because not everyone who mentions the name of God is elected for heaven,” he explained.
“When you check my old songs, they had messages of the character of Christ and so not mentioning God in my songs didn’t make it secular. Besides, there’s so much to be explained on what Gospel music is,” he stated.
