Ghanaian rapper, Edward Kofi Agyemang Amoah widely known as Kofi Mole has said Ground Up Chale is not a record label.
The ‘Don’t be late’ hitmaker indicated that despite widely held perception that Ground Up Chale is a label that has signed artistes under them, it is only an avenue for creative artistes to excel.
In a conversation with MzGee on ‘The Gist’, Kofi Mole explained there are a group of individuals who work behind the scene to help up coming artistes record for free without taking anything back.
He debunked claims that Kwesi Arthur and Quamina MP are signed to Ground Up.
“ None of us is signed to Ground Up, its not a label. The support they give us is as a label can give you. But they are not taking anything from us.” he explained
He continued: “ They are just putting us on. They make sure our music reaches where its supposed to reach”
Kofi Mole however refused to mention the names behind Ground Up indicating that they are a group of people who don’t want to be known.
” People think its a label but anytime we get the chance to be on interviews, we clear the misconception. Its a group of people investing in artistes.”
Kofi Mole is currently promoting his 5 track EP titled ” Aposor Love”.
The album includes his most popular hit ‘Don’t be late,’ and 4 new tracks Me ne Woaa, Your Love, Bestie and Obi Pe with production credit going out to Yung Demz, Kofi Mole, Mand, Qwesi king and Kobby Jay.
