Actress, Xandy Kamel has said she did worse things when her father was alive.
Xandy who is the daughter of Henry Ford Kamel, a former Volta Regional Minister and MP for Buem Constituency during the erstwhile Mills administration refuted claims that she is disgracing her late father’s memory.
She indicated that she has turned a better leave since her father died because she is the oldest of her siblings.
Speaking to MzGee on ‘The Gist’, Xandy stated that she once landed in jail when her father was still alive.
“When my dad was alive, I did worse things. Maybe its because I wasn’t into showbiz that’s why some of the things I did weren’t public. I stop schooling and did a lot of things to the poor man,”
According to her, “If I’m doing this now that he’s not alive, then this is the hustle. When he was alive, I was reluctant and going wayward and messing up in the wrong direction. But when he passed, I realized I was the oldest and had to take care of my siblings”.
Xandy indicated that her love and passion for showbiz was as a result of her father’s encouragement.
” He knew my love and passion for showbiz. When I was a kid, he used to push me to join church drama. So my dad is proud. I’ve had dreams of him speaking to me and that happens twice in a month. So once he hasn’t come to me crying, it means the man is proud of Xandy” she continued
