RnB singer, Akon has stated that he never made any money off Ghanaian rap superstar, Sarkodie.

The Senegalese born music executive indicated that his sole aim at that time was to help Sarkodie make it on the International scene.

The Konvict music boss made this known at a press conference in Accra on December 29,2019.

“It doesn’t matter, I am happy that he is where he is today. I think the success couldn’t happen even without the endorsement, so the key is to just appreciate what we’ve done for any artiste whether it is Sarkodie, P-Square or Wizkid…our job is to try to give and help people and expect nothing back in return. We never made a penny out of Sarkodie not one dime.” The ‘Lonely’ hitmaker stated

Akon indicated that apart from his Konvict Music, there is no record label in the world that will promote an artiste for free.

“I don’t know of any record label that will endorse you, market, produce you and help you distribute without asking for a penny. I don’t know any.”

Akon also revealed he is set to release another album next year.
