I don’t want to be responsible for a grown man – Mzbel on marriage

Songstress, Mzbel

Celebrated Ghanaian songstress, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah widely known as Mzbel has said she is not ready to bare responsibility on a grown man.

The outspoken songstress opined that she is still unmarried because she has not come to terms with managing her space with a man.

In a conversation with MzGee on ‘The Gist’ at her newly opened Bela’s pub, the ’16 years’ hitmaker stressed that although she is not ruling out the idea of marriage completely, she is not ready for the responsibility yet.

MzBel explained that she is comfortable with her current relationship hence does not see the need for marriage.

“Maybe it will happen but as it stands now, I can’t tell. I’m okay with the way things are in my life. I don’t want to be responsible for a grown man. You have to fix his shoes, he’// put his socks there, I’m not ready for that,”

Asked how she manages to sustain her relationship with her boyfriend, Mzbel said, “Oh, he’s in his house and I’m in mine. He can’t come and take off his shoes and spread his socks around. He can’t come and squeeze my toothpaste and make it crooked and put his brush here, comb here, boxer shorts here so those are the things”.

According to her although she doesn’t have first hand experience on the things she mentioned, she has friends who are married.
