I want Highlife to be played in clubs across the world – Rex Omar

Highlife veteran, Rex Omar has said his vision is to project the genre in a way that it can be played in clubs globally.

The ‘Abiba’ hitmaker indicated that his incoming projects dubbed ‘Club Highlife’ is to position highlife in a way that can fit being played in night clubs across the world.

Rex Omar made this known in an interview with MzGee on Showbiz927 on 3FM.

” I’m going to release hit songs. I’m coming up with something completely new because this particular type of song, I call it Club Highlife. I want to project Highlife in such a way that globally, anybody can play it in a club without even thinking,” He stated

“All type of music take their weight from highlife so if other type of music is played being played in the club, we should be able to create highlife that can be played in the club.” He added 

Rex Omar who is also the Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) further noted that his songs are able to stand the test of time because he considers its longevity while composing the songs.
