2018 MTN hitmaker winner, Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko widely known as OV has revealed that she was named after a man of God.
The budding singer explained that her middle name, Okailey was given to her in honor of a man of God, Prophet Paul Nii Okine.
Speaking to MzGee in a conversation on 3FM’s Showbiz 927, the ‘Zaddy’ singer who disclosed that she will be a prophetess at age 51 said she was born in the home of the man of God.
” I was named after a man of God who is my godfather. His name is Prophet Paul Nii Okine so I was named Naa Okailey after him. I frequently visit so I wasn’t in town since December until last week. I lived with him for some months and I was actually born there so that’s my home.” OV stated
She also stated that she will transition from dancehall music to worship music later in her career.
OV is currently promoting her first single after her split from Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group titled, ‘Forward’.
