Sultry Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay has said she was shocked when Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia recognized her.
The ‘Stevie Wonder’ singer who was narrating her encounter with the second gentleman of the land indicated that she didn’t expect to be recognized by the high profile personality.
Born Wendy Addo, the award winning singer made this known to Giovanni Caleb on 3FM’s Drive Time show.
“You don’t know how I felt when Bawumia met me and said ‘this must be Wendy Shay’. I was shocked that His Excellency the Vice President of Ghana knew my name and face.” She stated
The 2018 VGMA New Artiste of the Year argued that she is one of the most sought after artistes by Corporate brands in Ghana these days despite her controversial brand because the world has evolved.
On her relationship with her label mate Fantana, Wendy said Fantana remains her younger sister and they continue to keep a cordial relationship.
