Controversial Ghanaian songstress, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah widely known as Mzbel has said her arrest was caused by husband of actress Nana Ama McBrown.
According to the outspoken singer, although she was tagged a bad influence on her ex boyfriend, Maxwell Mensah, she cannot be faulted in a 2011 arrest that landed them in jail.
Speaking in a tell it all interview with MzGee on ‘The Gist’, Mzbel said she is pushed to reveal details of happenings between them during their relationship due to questions thrown at her during interviews.
According to reports, Mzbel and Maxwell Mensah were arrested in 2011 for allegedly assaulting and obstructing a police officer from executing his duty.
The arrest which landed them in jail after Mzbel reportedly jumped onto one of the officers and held his uniform pinned to his neck had many describing her as a negative influence on Maxwell.
But Mzbel told MzGee that she couldn’t be faulted for that arrest as Maxwell was to be blamed for their arrest.
