Celebrated sound engineer, Appiah Danquah widely known as Appietus has said he will explain his lyrics only when he is offered a million dollars.
The multiple award-winning music producer who is known for his versatility left fans wondering when he featured on songs with weird sounding lyrics.
The lyrics which were described by some as alien by some music lovers seem to be a path viral musician Patapaa is threading.
However, speaking to MzGee in a recent interview, Appietus stated that he won’t explain his lyrics unless he’s paid a million dollars.
Asked if he understood the things he said in his song, he said: “I said something. Unless I’m paid a million dollars, I won’t explain”.
He added that Ghanaians enjoyed music from other parts of the continent when they did not understand the lyrics hence did not see the reason for the complaints against his.
The 2006 Ghana Music Awards ‘Sound engineer’ of the year has worked with numerous artistes including Daddy Lumba, Sydney, Samini, Praye, Sarkodie, Obrafuor, Okyeame Kwame, Kwabena Kwabena and Ofori Amponsah.
