Rapper, Pappy Kojo has described his trpe of music genre as afro-rap.
The ‘Balance’ hitmaker in a conversation with MzGee indicated that he fuses noth rap and afrobeats hence his decision to call his music genre afro rap.
” I’ll say I do afro-rap, sometimes afrobeats but I’ll call it afro rap because Akwaaba is afro and there’s rap in it. Songs like Aye late too, even though some people call it Hip Hop.” the Fante rapper explained
Pappy further noted that he does not go into a studio with a type of genre in mind adding that he does music based on the beat he gets.
“I just do anything if it sounds right and I can rap on it, that’s what I do. I just don’t go to the booth and say I want to do Hip Hop or something its when the beat sounds right them I flow with it.” He explained
The one time VGMA HipHop artiste of the year winner indicated that he makes money off his music through streaming, endorsements and stage performances.
