Musician, Desmond Blackmore popularly known as D-Black has cast a damning verdict on the Akufo Addo government when it comes to the fulfilment of its promises to the creative arts industry.

According to him, he is still waiting on President Akuffo Addo and his government to fulfill promises made to the industry as far back as 2016.

The ‘Vera’ hit maker is supporting the #fixthecountry crusade indicating that 5years into its tenure, most of the promises the NPP made to the creative sector areyet to be fulfilled worsening the woes of the industry.

I agree the country needs a lot of fixing. My light went off 3days ago for 14hours…Right now, the music industry is rubbish. The promises that were made when I went to his house before haven’t been fulfilled, I am still waiting, it’s 5years. A lot of people are still waiting”

As a form of introspection, he also adduced evidence in the music industry to back the #fixyourself campaigners too:

“As an industry, there is no unity, backbiting here and there, we all know it,  people don’t support each other, look at how the Nigerians are supportive of each other, we have to fix our attitude…so yes we need to fix our attitudes and we need to fix the country, I agree with both hashtags”
