Ghanaian versatile rapper and singer Ayesem has lamented how he has been marginalized by the gatekeepers of the music industry who seem not to recognize his efforts.

He revealed how amazed he has been after realizing that he is very capable than most of the artists who are currently enjoying the buzz in the industry.

I am very underrated in the industry. It seems I’ve been sidelined by the industry players as I am not even recognized as part of the artists in Ghana. A lot of these new artists can’t stand me lyrically or talent-wise but there enjoying the airplay across the country.” He said on Happy FM

The Koti hitmaker is also stunned by how award schemes in Ghana have failed to acknowledge his works.

“Sometimes I am saddened by the vibe going on within the various nominations. They talk about the best rappers in the country and I am not nominated. Meanwhile, I am better than ninety percent of the nominees.”

He was however grateful to his kinsmen in his home region for their unwavering support despite his unsuccessful attempt at National recognition.

“I thank the people of Takoradi and the entire region for being my backbone all these years. They helped my brand and I’m very grateful for their endless support.”

According to the Shocks Entertainment signee, his management and other gatekeepers are deliberating on how to project his brand and he is hopeful that may yield some fruits soon.
