Legendary Ghanaian Raggae/Dancehall star, Samini has said he has turned down many juicy offers to act in movies.
Samini who has one movie under his sleeve indicated that he has had several offers after his first movie appearance.
In a conversation with Kwadwo Addo on TV3, the ‘Obra’ crooner stated that
” If you see me in a movie, then its my own production. I’m not ready to feature in anyone’s movie. What it is is that, I’m a brand so I’m a public figure so everything you put my face on is like my album.
The Highgrade family boss noted that he will however consider featuring in a non Ghanaian production.
‘If its an international movie, why not but if its local I’ll let it pass. I have enough stories written down to make my own production.”
He continued: “I’ve turned down a lot of movie producers.From the first time I appeared in a movie till date, I have a lot of producers approaching me with juicy offers but I unfortunately had to selfishly turned them down because I have a lot written down.”
Samini also disclosed that he already has a movie production house, High Grade Films which is set to release its first production soon.
