This was hours after asking his friends to send him N1 million each ahead of his birthday. In a video posted on Instagram, which many took to be a joke, Davido called on those he had helped in the music industry to each send hi money.
The singer has received money from other celebrities, including BB Naija’s Nengi, Perruzi, Teni, Adekunle Gold, Mr Eazi, Zlatan, Cubana Chief Priest and Chike, to mention a few.
After calling out the names of Ghanaian celebrities like Shatta Wale, Medikal and others, Medikal is on record to have sent him 1000 dollars. This got the internet talking and soon both Davido and the responders including Medikal were trending.
Well these trends caught the attention of MzGee and his friends as they spent a few minutes on the maiden edition of “Just Being Us’ discussing it.

She compared what is happening to Davido to how people with poor friends still shower expensive gifts on the rich friend and asked rhetorically whether all those sending the money do not have friends “who actually needed the money”?
On his part, Kwame Bee said “birds of a feather flock together’ and so Davido is likely to have friends who are rich and therefore willing to give.
Well, as to whether this is an altruistic move by genuine friends or a grandiose display of wealth, the jury is still out on it but the question remains who are your friends and what will they be willing to do for you ?
