
Veteran Highlife musician, Lucky Mensah has said late Ghanaian Highlife musician, Kofi B deserves a state burial.
In his opinion, he stated that the ‘Akua Donkor’ hitmaker has paid his dues enough to be accorded a well deserved burial.
Speaking on 3FM’s Showbuzz, at the late musician’s one-week observation which came off at the De Temple Social Centre at Achimota in Accra on Saturday, February 15, Lucky Mensah noted that Kofi’s death is a loss to the entire country.
” We’ve made a huge loss as a country and not only the music industry. Kofi B is someone that where ever you go to you here his music being played. It doesn’t matter whether its a party, wedding or a funeral; his songs are played everywhere. For this, I agree with those who say Kofi B deserves a state burial.” He stated
Meanwhile, family of the late Highlife musician have announced that his funeral will be held on Saturday, April 25, in Accra.
Real name Kofi Boakye Yiadom, Kofi B died on Sunday, February 2, before a performance at Abaase Domenase in the Central Region due to Hypertensive related illness.
