Ghanaian gospel superstar, Ohemaa Mercy has made a revelation of the assistance “secular” musician, Kwabena Kwabena offered on her latest song, “ote me mu (He lives in me)”.
In a conversation on Tv3’s “New Day” (entertainment segment), hosted by MzGee, the award-winning artist said a conversationexpressing her worry about the COVID-19 pandemic while on a visit to Kwabena Kwabena inspired the song – which he ended up helping her arrange and penning down its lyrics.
She revealed the “Aso” hitmaker assured her once she has Jesus living in her, the pandemic had no dominion over her.
“…as we were talking about the COVID, I came up with a message of which he supported and assured, “once you have Jesus in you, nothing can overrule you” [hence “ote me mu (He lives in me)”.
Ohemaa Mercy described Kwabena Kwabena as a strong believer of the gospel. She believes although he is a secular artist and may be vilified by the public for some choices made, she sees a Prophet in him. A statement he responds to in the affirmative.
“Kwabena Kwabena has a gift and I always tell him that one day he will be a Prophet. He looks at me and smile, telling me he is getting himself prepared and at the right time, my prayer for him shall come to pass.” She stated further.
