Record Producer, Hammer of The Last Two, has jumped to the defense of musician Kwabena Kwabena, saying the singer is not a drug addict as rapper Kontihene is alleged to have claimed.
Kontihene and Kwabena Kwabena have been exchanging words on media platforms after the former made comments suggesting that his former protege was into drugs and had dragged young actress Priscilla Opoku-Agyemang, known in showbiz as Ahoufe Patri, into the practice.
Kwabena Kwabena, in responding to Kontihene, referred his critics to Hammer of The Last Two.
The record producer, in an interview with MzGee on Showbiz927 confirmed that he had a working relationship with the singer.
In fact, he says that he managed Kwabena Kwabena for a while before the latter met Kontihene.
Responding to the allegations against his former artist, Hammer described them as false.
According to him, Kwabena Kwabena does not have the characteristics of someone who is into drugs.
“For a long time I worked with him. His name was not Kwabena Kwabena, it was Prince George. Later he did the Kwabena Kwabena thing before the Kontihene chapter came in. I worked with him for a long time, he was the main voice behind most of my hits. I know him and can tell you for a fact that he is not a drug addict…Drug addicts speak for themselves. If you are a drug addict, nobody needs to tell somebody that you are a drug addict. It will show. Drug addicts are not focused, they don’t do albums, they go months without bathing. Just look at him. He is focused,” he said.
Hammer further explained that he has resolved to stay away from the feud between the two musicians for fear of becoming a third person.
He believes that Kwabena Kwabena and Kontihene will be able to settle their differences and get back to working together.
“When people fall off, they say nasty things about each other. At a point in time, they were very great friends. I have a policy, when people fight, I don’t take sides because when they get together, they will alienate you. I believe they have too much history not to get back together. They are just angry with each other for whatever reason, I do not know. Taking part in the noise makes you a third person”
