Actress Lydia Forson has narrated her ordeal at the just ended 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The actress who was one of the several celebrities who fled the venue when the scene became chaotic described the situation as traumatizing and disgusting.
In a Facebook post, the plus size actress condemned both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy over the unfortunate incident.
The event which was to mark the scheme’s 20th anniversary was marred with incidence of violence and chaos.
The unfortunate incident occurred after Stonebwoy was declared winner of the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ category.
Reacting to the situation, Lydia Forson wrote: “Tonight has really as left me traumatized; sadly too many people don’t seem to understand how scary it was.When people see a gun, their immediate reaction is to run, and when they’re confined to any space a stampede occurs and that’s usually how people get hurt.I love both artist but they were BOTH complicit when it comes to what happened tonight. So many people could have been severely hurt; we got lucky this time”.
Several other Ghanaians have condemned the chaotic scene caused by the artistes and their teams.
