
Fast rising Ghanaian musician, Quamina MP has revealed he was rejected when he joined Mr. Eazi’s emPawa programme.
The ‘Wiase y3 d3’ hitmaker disclosed that he submitted a song to the emPawa board but he unfortunately didn’t make the cut.
Speaking to MzGee on ‘The Gist’, the fante rapper said:”I made a video and posted it online with a song titled ‘Bombombom’ but I wasn’t chosen”
Nigerian afrobeats singer, Mr. Eazi last year rolled out a scheme to discover and empower 100 young artistes for the next 3 years.
Dubbed #emPawa100, emerging artistes from 7 African countries were chosen, one of whom was Ghana’s J. Dorobie.
Born Emmanuel Ato Quamina Amonoo, the musician also spoke on the misconception people have towards his dreadlocks.
He explained that although he does not smoke weed, his father once accused him of engaging in the vice when he began growing his hair.
Quamina MP, who is currently promoting his new song ‘Amanfour Girls’ which features Medikal had 2 nominations in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
