Nigerian songstress, Waje has hinted at quitting music over lack of funding.
In a video, the mother of one explained that it is expensive to make music and promote it in Nigeria.
“I don’t have money for publicity, I want to quit,” she says in the video.
The singer speaks passionately and boldly about how much effort she has poured into her music craft and how the gains have been less than expected and far in-between.
“I have so many responsibilities to take care of and my music keeps taking the bulk of my money, I’m not willing to put in money there again,”
“I released an album after everybody has been shouting ‘Waje, your last album is how many years ago?’ All the people that were shouting, where are they?” she questioned
