Award winning Ghanaian Disc jockey, DJ Vyrusky has said Nigerians don’t like pushing Ghanaian music.
DJ Vyrusky explained that Ghanaian music doesn’t excel in Nigeria because of the lack of support in the West African country.
In a conversation with MzGee on ‘The Gist’, the award winning DJ who is also into music production said his song ‘Never Carry Last’ could have been bigger with a little push in the Nigerian music industry.
” ‘Never carry last’ had a million views on YouTube and I think that song should have been bigger than it is if we had an extra push. With an extra push outside Ghana, it would have been bigger.”
” Most Nigerians don’t even know the song. Nigerians don’t like pushing Ghanaian stuff. That’s what we think and that’s how it looks like.” he added
He however stressed that the song did well where it was supposed to.
DJ Vyrusky further indicated that he makes a lot of money from several streaming platforms.
