CEO and founder of the Ghana-UK based awards (GUBA), Mrs Dentaa Amoateng has said Nigerians make more noise about their music than Ghanaians.
She told MzGee in a conversation on Joy News’ ‘The Gist’ that Nigerians are more vocal than Ghanaians in terms of promoting their music stars.
“Davido was in the O2 Arena, he sold out and that went viral. Shatta Wale also went there it was sold out too but because they have a larger population, they made more noise”
“We (Ghanaians) are not making enough noise” she stressed.
Dentaa further debunked the assertion that Ghanaian music does not cross borders as compared to Nigerian music.
She argued that the only thing needed to push the music industry is investors.
“We need investors. We need people to invest to the music scene. We have Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Efya, King Promise and all of these top artiste that are doing well just need a push,” Dentaa added.
