Rapper Guru has attributed his rise in the music industry to rap legend, Obrafour.
The NKZ record boss indicated that although he was doing music before he met Obrafour, it took a single song with the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ rapper to make him blow.
Guru first got recognition in the music industry after he was featured on Obrafour controversial hit song, ‘Kasiebo’ in 2009.
Speaking to MzGee in an interview, Guru stated that he wouldn’t be any where in music but for Obrafuor who is his music godfather.
“Without Obrafuor, I don’t think there’ll be a Guru and I respect him so much. He’s my godfather in music. He brought me into the lime light.”
He added: “I was doing my own thing but I never had a spot till he came in. Kasiebo was my major collaboration.”
The ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hitmaker noted further that he gets emotional while speaking about Obrafour because he gave him an opportunity to shine.
