In his view, it is disrespectful on Ghana’s culture to adopt a foreign language as its second official language.
This comes shortly after Ms Botchway indicated that there were plans by the government to use French as a second language in line with national priorities.
The 2009 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artist of the Year who disagreed with the proposal questioned why government was not pushing to make a local language the second official language in Ghana.
In a tweet, he wrote: “French as a second language is disrespectful to our pride and culture, it is bad enough that our first language is another persons language. What is wrong with making one of our local languages our first language”.
“Every Country in the world developing teaches ,works and interacts in their local language”. he added
