Founder of the 3Music Awards, Sadiq Abdulai Abu has said organizing an event in Ghana is a herculean task.
According to him, there isn’t much support for event organizers in Ghana from corporate bodies.
He made this assertion when he spoke to MzGee during the launch of the Ghana Event Awards at the Mercedez Cafe inside Silver Star Tower, Airport.
Mr. Abdulai Abu described the introduction of the awards scheme as an encouragement to push event organizers to do more.
” I think its good. It helps to create a database of events that have taken place within a period,”
” Its been quite hectic in the past two years being an event organizer in this part of the world. Its a different thing all together if you are in the corporate space and you’re doing a lot f corporate events. Even that comes with its own challenges. But its been quite difficult organizing events in this town given the low patronage for the corporate space so I think that this is in order”
If for nothing at all, he explained that the initiative gives event organizers the encouragement to do more.
3 Music awards was nominated under the events of the year category at the annual awards scheme that is set to honor and celebrate indigenous Ghanaian Events and organizers.
