Inna Mariam Patty, CEO of Exclusive events, organizers of the annual Miss Ghana pageant has described the person who took the photograph of the 2019 Miss Ghana finalists as irresponsible.
According to Miss Patty, the person who took the picture should have discarded it instead of posting it on social media when he realized it was a bad photo.
The 2019 winners of the Miss Ghana pageant; Rebecca Nana Adwoa Kwabi, Sarah Odei Amoani and Deborah Opoku Sarfo came under severe criticism and trolls after photographs of them during an interview was posted on social media.
The queens who were mostly described as ugly and undeserving trended for days on social media.
In reaction, Inna Mariam Patty expressed her disappointment at Ghanaians for the criticism against the queens.
Speaking to MzGee at the launch of the 2019 Golden Movie Awards, Miss Patty said, “Whoever took that picture in the first instance is very irresponsible in the sense that these are your queens so if you took a picture and it didn’t come out well, you shouldn’t upload them. It doesn’t even speak well of the person who uploaded it
She added that the queens were not ready for the backlash as their reign is still young but stressed that they have learnt their lesson to appear well every where henceforth.
