Outspoken Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has re-echoed her disappointment over government’s commitment to construct a National Cathedral.
The multiple award winning actress stated that she can’t get over the fact that government is prioritizing the building of a National Cathedral over providing adequate beds in the various public hospitals.
President Nana Akufo-Addo in March 2018 proposed the building of a National Cathedral which will serve as an interdenominational Christian cathedral.
The proposal has been met with mixed reaction from the public with many opposing the move and describing it as a misplaced priority.
Actress Lydia Forson is one of such persons who has voiced out her opposition on the matter from the onset.
In a recent post on Twitter, the ‘Side chick gang’ actress wrote: “I can’t get over the fact that we’re building a CATHEDRAL, even if sponsored ( allegedly) there are people who’d rather invest money in a place of worship that people can live WITHOUT than hospital beds and healthcare that people NEED to live”.
