
The 7th studio album by award winning Ghanaian Reggae/dancehall artiste, Samini, has been named “Album of the Year” by Reggaeville.
Samini who became the first African artiste to be named with the award beat top international reggae artistes like Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid, Mr. Vegas, Alborosie among others.
Announcing the Untamed album as the winner, Reggaeville on their official website wrote: “And the winner is… Samini with Untamed!”
“Samini hails from Ghana. He has released seven albums since 2004, he won Best African Act at the MOBO Awards 2006 and the MTV Africa Music Award as Best Performer 2009. Just to mention a few of his numerous awards. The 22-track reggae album which was released on December 22, 2018, debuted at the 8th position of Billboard’s top 10 Reggae albums and songs beating albums such as “Reggae Gold 2018: 25th Anniversary” by Various artists and Ziggy Marley’s “ Rebellion Rises” album.
