Veteran Nigerian actor, Richard Mofe Damijo affectionately called RMD has named rapper Sarkodie as his favourite Ghanaian musician of all time.
The former Commissioner for Culture andTourism in Delta State, Nigeria indicated that he admires the rapper’s decision to rap in a local dialect.
In a conversation with KMJ on JOY Prime’s Showbiz now, the ace actor said he’s favourite song at the moment is Kind Promise’ CCTV which features Sarkodie and Mugeez.
” My favourite Ghanaian musician of all time is Sarkodie. I love the way he raps in the local dialect. That just does it for me. Right now my song on repeat is CCTV.” he stated
” When Rhythm takes you, it doesn’t speak a language. I’ve been a Ramblers Dance Band fan, I love E.T Mensah and Osibisa. I’m a huge fan of Mac Tonto and Osei Tutu.” he added
RMD is currently in Ghana to shoot for the remake of Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s romantic comedy, The Perfect Picture.
