Musician Patapaa has served notice that he will no longer entertain disrespect from his senior colleagues in the industry.

This comes on the heels of a recent reference to him by Shatta Wale directing Yaa Pono to go to him(Patapaa) to resurrect his career since he doesn’t deal with underground artists anymore.

Speaking to MzGee on 3fm’s Showbiz927, Patapaa said eventhough this could be interpreted in two ways, the increasing quest by more established artists to disrespect younger ones is not appropriate.

in his case, he traced the history of these innuendos to Sarkodie.

if you recall, the BET award winning rapper in his rap on Up-and-coming musician Ypee’s hit his single “Meye Guy”, Sarkodie talked about how he made it from grass to grace. He however in a line added that Patapaa would have performed at his funeral if he had not made it in Life.

According to Patapaa such demeaning references are what Shatta Wale and others are copying;

”Sarkodie started it, he put those words even in hid song and his own was even worse, it was very very foolish words”

He then argued that it is words like these from senior musicians that attracts disrespect from the younger ones.
